I’m so grateful to have found this emergency vet clinic open on Christmas Day. Dr. Florian and the staff were incredibly compassionate and understanding, showing genuine care for me and my dog during a tough time. The clinic is easy to find, very clean, and has a welcoming atmosphere. The English-speaking doctors and staff made communication smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend this clinic for anyone in need of exceptional care for their pets especially during emergencies. The only disappointment was when I requested them to use my dog's microchip number for an insurance claim, providing a copy of his pet passport. They insisted on scanning the microchip themselves and charged €8.40 for it. This could have been handled during my dog's hospitalization at their clinic. In the stress of the emergency, I couldn’t recall the microchip number. I wish they had been more understanding.

If someone asks me I would never recommend this clinic. I have had 2 experiences with 2 different dogs in this clinic, in both of them I had the same feeling: they want to push exams and procedures that are not really necessary and quite expensive. My feeling is that the well being of my dogs wasn’t the main priority here. They say the dog needs to stay, gat iv fluids, they take the dog to the back and make more and more exams. In my first experience my dog was having problems to walk, they did a lots of exams and said she needed to stay for fluids. she stayed a whole day and they told me she didn’t pee outside. I took her outside and immediately she peed a lot. In the end they couldn’t find what was going on with her and told me very coldly that I needed to put the dog down. I refused it, took my dog to another clinic and she got better and could stay with us for more 2 months before there was really anything else we could have done. In my second experience (and the last) they found out a stone in my dog’s stomach and she needed surgery urgently. I was told that she needed to do the surgery, but not without first doing another exam. Apparently they wanted her to do a heart exam for the surgery. Once I asked what would change if this exam would be done the answer was “nothing”. Meaning my dog needed the surgery, otherwise she could die from the stone, it didn’t matter if her heart was good or bad, but they wanted me to pay for another unnecessary exam. And if they said she could not do the surgery, again the conclusion to put dog down was made. I took my dog to another clinic, she had the surgery (without having to do another exam) and is doing fine now. I have nothing against the staff and the vets, to be honest I cannot say if they are good or bad because I felt their capabilities are lost in this organization of pushing so many things that you cannot say if this is really their fault or the clinics fault. I mean there were so many other things that happened in both these experiences that make me not trust this clinic at all therefore I would never recommend it to anyone.

We were seen without an appointment. Dog was sick, so it was an emergency. They had all the necessary staff there: x-ray, ultrasound, cardiologist rapid blood tests. The doctor (an Italian woman) was highly knowledgeable, it was clear that she studied a lot and is interested in doing her best work. To the reviews saying it's expensive, yes it was. 850 euro bill. But it was not a surprise: the doctor told me what she thinks needs to be done, how much it costs, and only with my consent did the tests. I did not feel pressured to do anything I didn't want. In the end I came away knowing that all the possible things that could be wrong were checked and imo it's a better approach than a vet who checks one thing at a time, thus potentially leaving an undiagnosed condition to develop.

My dog was referred for an Ultrasound right before Christmas, after being sick for a week. We were both tired and anxious. The Bärenwiese team were friendly, kind, calm and saw her in a few hours - really not bad, with no appointment. They warned about Notfall costs, but the bill was absolutely reasonable. Even though my dog needs a follow-up scan, I felt much more at ease after she was seen. That’s priceless. They clearly aim to create a calm, warm, helpful environment. Thank you so much 🙏🏻 ☺️ English is spoken - which for me, for medical conversations is a huge help.

Best veterinary practice I’ve ever encountered. They are extremely prepared and empathic. They have a special protocol on how to deal with cats (like providing an exclusive cat waiting area and visiting rooms) and it makes a huge difference! My cat is always been aggressive with all vets so she needed to be sedated even for a simple visit, but here they managed to take her blood without sedation! Nurse Femke Sitter is a true cat whisperer!
